Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson was off to a good start against his former team. Unfortunately, for Jackson, his day may have come to an end.

Jackson scored on an 8-yard touchdown reception from Matt Ryan for a 7-0 lead against the St. Louis Rams in the first quarter, and Jackson seemed poised for a good outing against his former team.

During Jackson’s touchdown reception, Rams linebacker Alec Ogletree hit the running back as he was getting into the end zone. As a result, Jackson received a thigh bruise.

Jacquizz Rodgers is currently starting at running back during Jackson’s absence.

If vengeance is supposed to sweet, Jackson has been forced to swallow a bitter pill today.
