FOX's Jay Glazer is reporting that Indianapolis Colts linebacker Erik Walden's one-game suspension for headbutting Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker last Thursday will hold up.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport confirmed the news and added that Walden's appeal was heard by Matt Birk, who moved from Super Bowl-winning center this February to NFL appeals officer after retiring from playing.

Walden ripped Walker's helmet off and headbutted an unprotected Walker in the face in the Week 11 victory by the Colts. Although Walden was penalized for the play, he was not ejected from the game. Walden will miss the Colts' game this week against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12 and lose his game check of $176,706 because of it.
