Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick announced he would not play against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday due to his injured hamstring. That was not a surprise. What was interesting is how Vick chose to make that announcement.
Vick appeared with quarterback Nick Foles during a joint press conference at the team facility on Thursday to give media members a medical update. It was definitely a show of harmony between the two quarterbacks who competed for Philadelphia's starting job prior to this season.
“Nah I’m not playing this week. Not this week," Vick told CSNPhilly.com. “Every day is just working, trying to get better, like I said last two days, and I'll say it again today and just trying to take it one game at a time. Everything is coming along as planned. I just can’t rush.”

Vick injured his hamstring two weeks ago against the Giants and missed last Sunday's win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Foles completed 22 of 31 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns, plus ran for another, during a 31-20 victory.
