This didn't work out too well for John Lennon.
In a recent interview discussing the timing of the Easter Sunday trade of his son Donovan from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Washington Redskins, McNabb's father, Sam, made a comparison between his son and Jesus:
"Absolutely, it meant something. We were celebrating Jesus' resurrection, right? Then we turn around and Donovan gets resurrected. Just perfect."
Other than the fact that this story will also eventually be written by Matthew (Berry), Mark (Maske), John (Clayton) and Luke (all right, there is no NFL writer named Luke), that's pretty much one of the worst comparisons ever.
