The Houston Texans are desperate at this point. They'll try anything to end their eight-game losing streak, which is three games longer than any other NFL team currently.
They've tried two different quarterbacks, cut high-profile signing Ed Reed, had two different head coaches ... and nothing seems to work.
But Texans running back Ben Tate has an idea. A frightening idea, but a tempting one nonetheless. He thinks it might be time to ice up, son.
Ben Tate "Bring back Vanilla Ice." Texans haven't won since he performed at halftime of Tenn game.

See, back in simpler times — Week 2 — the Texans trailed at halftime to the Tennessee Titans, 10-7, and needed a little mojo to get them going for the second half. Ice came out and performed a brief set (you can watch the performance here) and the effects were tangible: The Texans took the lead and later won in dramatic fashion, their last win of this season.
So this brings up a crucial question: Did Ice ice the Texans? Or was he the spark they have been missing since?
Tate wants to find out. And maybe some desperate Texans fans are ready to charter a private jet to get Vanilla Ice back in town for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
