Despite knee injury, Ed Reed says that he will play against the Patriots

At the end of another brilliant playoff performance, Ed Reed injured his leg. In a display of how much the eight-time Pro Bowler means to his team, Reed's teammates carried him off the field. Reed told the NFL Network that he will play against the Patriots in the AFC championship, despite the painful and awkward look of the injury.

The Baltimore Ravens don't want to find out what it's like without Reed. Typically brilliant in the playoffs, Reed had six tackles, three broken up passes and an interception against the Houston Texans. In his 10-season career, Reed has eight interceptions in the postseason. His play will be key in shutting down Tom Brady and the Patriots offense.

you need the whole team to win the game. no matter which team you root for.I don't see ed reed saying blue 24 hutt-hutt, throw the ball and then run down field to catch it. there is no ed reed in TEAM

On the Last play? Man he is hurting right now. I'm sure he SAYS he will play but this is no country for old men. Ed may be finished for the season. HE could cost the Ravens the game if he is in anyway gimpy vs Patsies.

I'm curious what will happen if the Pats defense happens to outshine Baltimore's. Will everyone at ESPN have their heads explode simultaneously?

Its not goin to happen, Flacco might have a bad game but if the Pats win it will because of Brady throwing 50X's gainst the weak Raven secondary

What's your point #$%$? You could ask that question about any two teams playing anytime anywhere - you clown. Your angle might be that the Pats supposedly have a weak D and the Ravens have a strong D - but at this of time the year with all of the injuries and time to prepare and hype etc.. then what?? Denver's D was as good as could be against Pittsburgh and then look how bad against the Pats. #$%$

clown ??? Fact; pats d is suspect ... Fact; ray lewis looked old and in the way running after texans QB ...fact flaco is no brady ... it's not personal sunny ... it's business ...

Ravens stink on the road. Ravens offense is impotent. Ravens defense is very good but vulnerable to the pass. Advantage Brady. Sorry Ratbirds. You will see the Super Bowl on TV only. Brady appears to be on a mission and has a hot hand. Pats go to the big dance and will rematch the Giants.

The last time we played the Ravens was last year and we came back from 10 down to win.

How soon some of you forget the Raven's last trip to Foxborough in the play-offs. Let the hitting begin.

Reed looked like he would never walk again as they helped him off the field...now he is going to play...its a miracle recovery or he was never hurt that bad to begin with--worthy of an Oscar!

The ravens will dominate the Patriots. Denver is... well Denver. It's going to be just like it was last time the Ravens beat the patriots away in the play-offs. It's cold in baltimore too and the wind blow a whole hell of a lot harder on the bay

Sorry Ed it does'nt really matter ! The way Brady is playing, Baltimore will need a miracle to beat the Patriots, they are "peaking" at just the right time ! N. E. is this year's Green Bay ...

I almost feel bad for this slow, old, hobbled defense going into
foxburough to defend the indefensible. Almost...

Brady is a whiny child, but you know, he's got the hot hand right now. Don't see Baltimore taking them down. Then again, I didn't see the Saints and the Packers out either.
