"Everyone feels confident about how he’s doing," Garrett said. "We don’t want to put a timetable on him in any way. He’s making great progress, and is working very hard at it."
Garrett has plenty of reasons to be happy about Romo’s progress.
Romo was injured prior to Dallas’ season finale against Philadelphia and was unable to participate in that game, which decided the NFC East championship. Philadelphia defeated Dallas, 24-22, and advanced to the playoffs.
Romo was enjoying one of his best seasons prior to the injury.
Garrett said Romo is not throwing to receivers yet, but is optimistic his quarterback will be a limited participant when the offseason program begins on April 21.
"You just kind of go through the program and try to stack good days on top of good days," Garrett said. "That’s what he’s always done. Again, he’s made good progress. We’re hopeful he’s going to be involved in our spring program."
