Pounding out 113 yards against the Colts is a pretty nice week for most people. When you're trying to break Eric Dickerson's all-time rushing record, though, it's not what you're looking for.
Chris Johnson went into Week 13 needing to average 141.8 yards per game over the last five. He got 113 against the Colts. This is where it leaves him:
So yes, he did slip a bit, but the damage isn't irreparable. He now needs to average 149 yards a game over the last four games, as he's 596 yards away.
This week, he's got the Rams, who have the 28th-best rushing defense in the league. They give up an average of 146.2 yards per game. They're easily the worst rushing defense Johnson will face the rest of the year, so it's probably a good idea for Johnson to exceed even the necessary 149.
We can't afford another week off the pace. Get on your horse, baby.
