Blooper: Strong winds blow Nick Folk’s field goal attempt way wide against Buffalo

New York Jets kicker Nick Folk came into Sunday's game needing just one field goal to tie Jay Feely's franchise record of 24 straight successful attempts.

The powerful winds at Ralph Wilson Stadium, however, had different ideas. A strong gust blew Folk's 48-yard, first-quarter attempt waaaay wide, ending Folk's streak and creating an all-time blooper in the process.

The winds caused havoc all day during the Jets' 37-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills. It contributed to quarterback Geno Smith's struggles and even ripped a gigantic American flag during pregame ceremonies.

While winds also played a big factor in the Chicago-Baltimore game, Bears kicker Robbie Gould was able to tame Mother Nature (and a muddy Soldier Field playing surface) for a game-winning OT field goal over the Baltimore Ravens. Check it out here:
