If it's commonly accepted that Calvin Johnson is the NFL's version of Megatron, the biggest, baddest, most-talented Transformer of all, which players and coaches in the league would be the best fits with other robots from the popular action figures, TV series and movie franchise? Shutdown Corner came up with 23 of the most compatible pairings.

Aaron Rodgers as Optimum Prime -- Brave, powerful, belt-wearing leaders who puts their talent to use improving the universe around him.

Brett Favre as Rodimus Prime -- Energetic, yet brash and headstrong, with an overwhelming self-confidence that borders on arrogance. Plagued by lack of confidence feeling he is in the shadow of Optimus Prime.

DeSean Jackson as Starscream --Believes that he should rely more on guile and speed rather than brute destructive force. When given the chance to strike out on his own, he is often less successful than Megatron.

Darren Sproles as Bumblebee -- The little one, constantly striving to prove himself in the eyes of the other robots and in robot general managers, who fail to grasp the fact that talent trumps size, always.

Ricky Williams as Fortress Maximus -- A warrior without compare -- courageous, valiant, powerful and yet a fervent pacifist who wishes that he will never have to fight again.

Jared Allen as Grimlock -- Both are more intelligent than they like to let on and less intelligent than they'd like to think.

Chad Ochocinco as Jazz -- A trickster who mixes style with a hip-hop personality. Never shuts up.

Plaxico Burress as Gunrunner -- You know, because they're both runners.

Andy Reid as Wheeljack -- His inventions were notorious for exploding in his face while he was still testing/working on them.

Tony Romo as Cliffjumper -- Impulsive, frequently reminded to exercise caution.{YSP:more}

Hines Ward as Sideswipe -- Very brave, but also reckless and tends to use dirty tricks to achieve victory.

Michael Vick as Blurr -- The fastest Transformer of all, but prone to worry or complain. And, unlike Vick, Blurr once saved something from execution rather than the other way around.

Kellen Winslow Jr. as Skywarp -- They're both soldiers.

James Harrison as Rampage -- In a constant state of rage that leaves even his teammates afraid of him. Can be easily distracted by mindless television entertainment.

Bob Sanders as Ratchet -- Turns into an ambulance.

Steve Smith as Ironhide -- Tough, but impulsive, hardened veteran who won't die.

Bill Belichick as Soundwave -- His specialty is recording.

Jerome Simpson as Blowpipe -- Just for the name alone.

Ray Lewis as Shockwave -- Intelligent, calculating, destructive, purple and probably doesn't rat out his friends.

DeAngelo Hall as Thrust -- Confident upon entering battle but usually the first to panic or flee.

Brandon Meriweather as Laserbeak -- Very cowardly and will only fight from afar, or in situations in which he has the overwhelming advantage."

Ndamukong Suh as Bonecrusher -- He is a brawler by nature and specializes in demolitions work.

Cleatus the Fox Sports Robot as Ultra Magnus -- The most hated robots in their respective fields.

Many of the descriptions were taken from various Transformers character pages on Wikipedia. A special thanks to MJD, Matt Ryan and Antzo for help on this post.
