We may have sent two terrible teams to play in London, but at least those folks got to see the great Adrian Peterson do his thing.
Peterson, the Vikings' star running back and reigning MVP, isn't off to a great start this year, at least compared to the standard he set in 2012. He has 281 yards in three games.
But he's capable of a huge play on every carry, and he broke one in a 34-27 victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-4) for Minnesota's first win of the season. Peterson took a handoff and rumbled through the defense to the open field. He finished in the end zone with a 60-yard score.
So while the Vikings and Steelers aren't the best theater for the London fans, they did get to see one of the best players the NFL has to offer.
