After Clinton Sparks released the song "Gold Rush," someone with an enterprising mind wondered if there was a way for the San Francisco 49ers to incorporate the song at home games.
That's what led to an adapted music video that was shot by Sparks to play at 49ers games.
The video was shot at Candlestick Park, which will host just one more 49ers game, although Sparks' song will probably move with the team to its new home of Levi's Stadium. The video features the team's Gold Rush cheerleaders. The cheerleaders have been using the song during their introduction before games.
The original song, with 2 Chainz & Macklemore, was already popular, with 2.5 million views on YouTube. Now it has a second life.
And it seems that Sparks had a good time shooting the video on the 49ers' field.
