'Burgertyme with Julian Edelman' is, against all odds, pretty funny

In sports circles, there's a phenomenon known as "athlete funny": anything an athlete says that's mildly humorous gets the fans/media guffawing like they're seeing a Chris Rock/Louis C.K. double bill. So we're naturally suspicious of anything an athlete does that's billed as "funny."

Imagine our delight, then, when we realized that "Burgertyme with Julian Edelman" is pretty darn funny. Yes, he's walking in the footsteps of Zach Galifianakis' "Between Two Ferns" mock-talk show series. But it's still good stuff. Check out the above segment, where he interviews teammate Chandler Jones while "thinking" that he's interviewing MMA champ Jon "Bones" Jones ... Chandler's brother.

Watch and enjoy. Guaranteed you're gonna have "Edelman! Edelman! Defense be backpedalin'!" stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
