Western Michigan gives us a Harlem Shake video like we’ve never seen (VIDEO)

Earlier this week, I mocked Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer and Nebraska coach Bo Pelini for their roles in their team’s individual Harlem Shake videos.

I’m sorry.

I’m apologizing now because Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck went out and totally redeemed coaches everywhere.

The Broncos released their Harlem Shake video Wednesday and it’s the greatest college football Harlem Shake video for one simple reason – it only involves the coaches.

Fleck starts the dance by writing “Row The Boat,” the team’s new motto, on a dry erase board before the Bronco mascot comes into the meeting room and starts galloping around the conference room table while the coaches review film.

But, this isn’t one of those videos where a coach starts the dance and then sits out the fun part. No, this is the entire Western Michigan coaching staff dancing around in crazy outfits, with ridiculous props, riding each other’s shoulders and getting stretched out in the middle of one of their meeting rooms.

The video culminates with offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca dancing solo for a good 20 seconds.

It is spectacular.

See, being the nation’s youngest FBS coach does have some benefits. I think recruits can appreciate - and even get on board - with a coaching staff that doesn't take itself too seriously. Heck, I'll even throw Beamer and Pelini into that group.

Fleck has been on a bit of a tear this offseason. Last month, he took the polar plunge (jumped into an ice-filled pond) for charity.

Here’s hoping Fleck doesn’t lose his youthful exuberance when the season actually starts.
