WVU OL Russell Haughton-James arrested on burglary charges
West Virginia senior offensive lineman Russell Haughton-James was arrested Sunday night on a single count of burglary.
Details of the events that led up to the charge are scarce and coach Dana Holgorsen said in a statement he’s still gathering the facts.
“I have been made aware of the situation,” Holgorsen said. “I am gathering the facts at this time and will to continue to monitor. I have no further comment at this time”
Haughton-James, 22, has played in 28 career games with the Mountaineers and started the started the Gold-Blue spring game at left tackle. He appeared in 12 games last season as a backup, was used as an extra linemen in short-yardage situations and on special teams. Haughton-James was expected to play backup to Yodny Cajuste and Marquis Lucas this fall.
