No. 4: Nebraska Cornhuskers. The average ticket price is $210. After a disappointing blowout in the BigTEN championship game last season, the Huskers dropped 3 spots in our top 25 from their #1 preseason rank in each of the last two years.  Despite being down 20% from last year, Nebraska Cornhuskers tickets are still only of five teams with an average price above $200, at $210.  On September 14th, the Cornhuskers face UCLA for the 12th time in history in their most expensive game of the year. At an average price of $310, prices for this game are almost double their cheapest game of the year against Southern Miss, which have an average price of $165.

Here’s an awesome video that can make any college football fan crack a smile.

Late last week, the Nebraska Twitter account tweeted out a video of a 94-year-old Cornhuskers fan playing the university’s fight song, “There Is No Place Like Nebraska,” on the accordion. According to the woman who uploaded the video, who is his neighbor, the man’s name is Lawrence and he was lifelong farmer in rural Nebraska before retiring.

Lawrence’s neighbor wrote in the video’s description:

“He was a farmer all of his life in rural Nebraska and was married to the love of his life, Grace, for 74 years until she passed away over a year ago. I grew up just down the gravel road from Lawrence and his family. I always remembered him as the friendly farmer who would stop by our home in the summertime to give us a watermelon fresh from his garden. At almost 95 years old, Lawrence still drives his blue pickup truck into our town of 800 people each day to eat lunch at the senior center and play cards with his friends.”

Lawrence seems like an awesome guy and that laugh at the end of the video is fantastic. Lawrence will turn 95 on June 27. Happy birthday, Lawrence!
