Things just keep getting better for former Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III.
The Heisman Trophy winner just signed a deal with Adidas and his first commercial is pretty great.
He's training and the voiceover is of his Heisman acceptance speech. It's pretty inspiring, actually. At the end of the video it reads, "welcome to the family, Robert" and "rgIII is all in." as a parallel to Adidas' "all-in" slogan. And yes, it's all lowercase.
As part of Griffin's deal, he'll be sporting some pretty sweet gold adizero 5-Star at the NFL Combine this week. Gold is the official color of the shoe, though for those conspiracy theorists or diehard Baylor fans, it could also be Griffin's tribute to his university.
While I agree that the shoes are slick, the pink socks are really what make the outfit. I'm glad the fame hasn't changed RGIII. I wonder if he'll have a bold sock choice for the combine.
While Griffin winning the Heisman was a surreal experience for Baylor, seeing him on a commercial and this week's poster boy for Adidas has got to be pretty great for the university.
