USC held a players only meeting without Lane Kiffin’s knowledge

The steamroller has switched from Johnny Manziel to Lane Kiffin.

After the first week of the season, the Heisman Trophy winning quarterback was receiving a heap of criticism for his first half suspension and the way he acted on the field when he played against Rice. After the second week of the season and a loss to Washington State, it's Lane Kiffin's turn to be in the bullseye.

When he was asked Tuesday about a players only meeting that star WR Marqise Lee said Saturday night that would take place, Kiffin said that there was no such meeting. Au contraire, according to Lee.

Kiffin don't know. Harsh.

Late in that home loss Saturday, Kiffin was serenaded with "Fire Kiffin" chants throughout the Coliseum and on Monday, made his quarterback decision for the Trojans' game Saturday against Boston College via YouTube rather than at a press conference. Though given the struggles of Cody Kessler and Max Wittek, you can probably make the argument that Kiffin don't know who to choose as his quarterback.

Kessler's the choice for Boston College. If he struggles, Lee might have given his home fans a new chant idea.
