Urban Meyer: Marcus Hall won’t start in Big Ten Championship game

When Ohio State offensive lineman Marcus Hall was ejected from last Saturday’s Michigan game after an on-field skirmish, he reacted by angrily throwing his helmet to the ground and then saluted the crowd with a classy two-finger salute.

For his actions, Hall received a reprimand from the Big Ten, and Friday at a media conference for Saturday’s Big Ten Championship game, Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer announced that Hall will not be starting against Michigan State.

Redshirt freshman Pat Elflein, who performed well in Hall’s absence against Michigan, will start in Hall’s place, Meyer said.

Michigan State’s defense is third in the nation in points allowed, so Elflein, Hall (who I'd guess will only miss a few series or a quarter) and the rest of the OSU offensive line will need to be at the top of their game Saturday night.
