UCLA announced its intentions to raise funds to build a brand new football training facility on campus back in September. On Wednesday, the program offered an update on the project that included some impressive renderings of what the facility will look like upon completion.

According to the release, the UCLA athletic department has “received approximately $40 million in cash and pledges” for the facility. The facility is set to include “a locker room, athletic training area, strength and conditioning facility, coaches’ offices, team meeting rooms, equipment rooms and video rooms.”

“To raise $40 million in little more than six months for this facility has been truly remarkable, but now more than ever, we need everyone who loves UCLA to keep pushing forward and not rest until we get this project completely funded,” said Josh Rebholz, senior associate athletic director for external relations.

The facility will be built right next to Spaulding Field, the team’s practice field.

When the plans were originally announced, the estimated cost for the facility was $50 million, which would be funded through private donations. With $40 million already raised, the program isn't far away from making the renderings into reality for Jim Mora's program.
