Terry Bowden tweets out another new Akron helmet (Photo)
Akron head coach Terry Bowden doesn’t use Twitter often, but when he does, it’s usually to unveil something that will excite his team and the Akron fans.
On Saturday, Bowden fired off tweet No. 60 to reveal a new helmet option for the Zips. As opposed to the gold chrome helmets from last month, this helmet is an awesome white helmet with a “Z” logo. Bowden's tweet says that both options will be worn in 2014.
Take a look:
You think the gold chrome was sharp...take a look at the white! We will have both helmets this year! #GoZips pic.twitter.com/zXYl2UmnwX

Akron is a program to watch in the MAC in 2014, Bowden’s third year at the helm. The Zips went just 1-11 in his first season, but showed a lot of improvement to win five games in 2013.
The Zips are looking to make it back to a bowl game for the first time since 2005 – and they’ll be doing it with style.
