It’s been three years, but Tennessee fans are still a little hurt about the way former coach Lane Kiffin ditched the Vols to become the head coach at USC.
So, there was some elation in Knoxville when Kiffin was fired in an unceremonious way following the Trojans 62-41 loss to Arizona State. Some fans took to Tennessee’s infamous Rock to express their feelings.
The word “Butch” refers to first-year head coach Butch Jones, and it also allowed the artists to highlight the “UT” for Tennessee.
While this is creative and kinda funny, Tennessee hasn’t exactly been a model of football success since Kiffin left. Derek Dooley, the man hired to replace Kiffin, was 15-21 with the Vols before getting fired and Jones is off to a rough start at 3-2, which includes a 59-14 thumping by Oregon.
Still, we here at Dr. Saturday appreciate the trolling.
