Temple WR Robby Anderson eligible for 2015

Temple's receiving corps has gotten a big boost just before fall camp.

Wide receiver Robby Anderson, the team's leading receiver in 2013 as a redshirt sophomore, is eligible for 2015.

"I am elated," Temple coach Matt Rhule told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I love the kid, and just on a personal level, even when it looked like he wasn't coming back, I maintained a relationship."

Anderson missed the 2014 season because of academic reasons. He wasn't enrolled at all at Temple during the season after he was dismissed and took classes at a junior college. He did well enough that he was reinstated by the NCAA in time to play in 2015.

"I think No. 1, it will make our defense better going against him and No. 2, we have a lot of talented receivers and it will make them better," Rhule said. "And No. 3, we hopefully have a weapon outside that forces people to defend us differently."

Anderson had 44 catches for 791 yards in 2013. The Owls will also have the services of transfer WR Adonis Jennings in 2015. A native of New Jersey, Jennings transferred from Pitt and the NCAA granted him immediate eligibility. Jennings had six catches for 55 yards in six games in 2014. He was a four-star recruit in the class of 2014 according to Rivals and the No. 38 prospect in the country.
