According to police, Martin-Oguike, 18, was entertaining a 21-year-old woman in his dorm room when she became uncomfortable and tried to leave. Martin-Oguike then allegedly grabbed her by the throat and dragged her back into the room where he allegedly raped and assaulted her.
But this is when things took an even more awkward turn. After it was over, Martin-Oguike escorted the young woman downstairs and signed her out of the dorm like nothing happened. He then texted her asking if she planned to press charges.
According to police, she didn't respond to the text, but did ultimately end up in the police station after taking public transit back to her apartment where she showered and vomited repeatedly. Praise Martin-Oguike has been charged with aggravated assault, forcible rape, sexual assault, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment. He is out on bail and waiting his preliminary hearing on June 14.
While Temple said the 6-foot-1, 220-pound Martin-Oguike had only been suspended from both the team and the university, he is not currently listed on the team's roster.
