TCU sends personalized video game case to recruit (Photos)

College football programs are always looking for new ways to attract recruits.

TCU has already landed a commitment from three-star running back Trayveon Williams, and he was blown away by a personalized piece of mail the program sent him on Wednesday.

The Horned Frogs sent Williams a replica NCAA Football video game with his picture on the cover and on the disc itself. Pretty cool.

There are also a few recruiting pitches on the back of the case including, “Coach P Mode,” referencing head coach Gary Patterson, and “winningest team in Texas since 2005.”

Williams, a native of Houston, is rated by Rivals as the ninth-best all-purpose running back in the country. He verbally committed to TCU back in May, choosing the Horned Frogs over offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Houston, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M and others.

Williams can’t officially sign his national letter of intent to attend TCU until February, so the Horned Frogs (along with other programs) will continue to recruit him.
