Syracuse’s Julian Whigham apologizes to fans after 56-0 loss to Georgia Tech

After Syracuse was demolished 56-0 today on the road by Georgia Tech, 'Cuse defensive back Julian Whigham took to Twitter to offer an apology to fans for the team's lackluster performance.

That’s an impressive and thoughtful sentiment from Whigman, a sophomore from West Palm Beach, Fla., who knows his fans expected more from their 3-3 team. He didn't make excuses or deflect blame. A lopsided loss is tough to swallow and tweets like this should at least be a little bit encouraging for fans of the Orange.

Scott Shafer's squad has a bye week to reflect and improve for their next game, a home contest with Wake Forest on November 2.
