Surprise! Oregon will wear brand new uniforms in its spring game (Photos)
Oregon has always been at the forefront of college football in terms of modern uniform design. With Nike at its disposal (Phil Knight is an Oregon grad), the Ducks have debuted dozens of different looks and combinations over the years, and that even extends to the team’s spring game.
For Saturday’s game, for the sixth year in a row, the Ducks will show off a custom-designed look. This year’s model includes “Salute the Day” nameplates and neck patches to honor men and women of the armed forces.

According to a release from Oregon and Nike, other features of the uniforms include a “rising duck” patch, five “vertical bands of color” representing each military branch, a “tonal yellow American flag” on the right shoulder and Oregon’s state motto on the inside of the back of the neck.
A closer look at the uniforms, including those special features, can be viewed at Oregon’s website and the Nike, Inc. page.
