Stanford unveils its new football facility (Video)

Stanford is keeping up with the Joneses, errr... Oregon.

The school released a first look at the additions to its football facility on Friday, which contains new lockers, lounges and the Andrew Luck Auditorium.

Oregon's Football Operations Center was $68 million and was finished this summer. The Stanford additions to the Arrillaga Family Sports Center came at a price tag of $21 million.

From the Washington Post:

“It shows how serious we are about football,” Shaw said. “We needed new facilities. We needed more space and we needed a bigger, nicer locker room and we needed the meeting space. It’s exactly what we needed. It’s beautiful.”

The new facilities also feature another locker room for former athletes who return in their offseasons. According to Stanford associate AD Matt Doyle, Luck made a donation but didn't ask for any recognition. After a private donation, the auditorium was named for him.

Take a look at the video above. The tributes to Stanford's past are pretty cool.
