Video: BYU conversion moves Riley Nelson to high-five a ref

Here's a fun clip from Friday night's game between BYU and TCU: Cougar quarterback Riley Nelson, amped after taking in a two-point conversion that cut the Horned Frogs' lead to 10 in the fourth quarter, was so overcome that he high-fived the linesman signaling that he'd crossed the goal line.

It's not something you see every day, but the official seemed unfazed as he continued to keep his arms raised to signify the score.

Unfortunately for Nelson, that would be his last highlight of the evening. Although he passed for 215 yards and rushed for 84 more, TCU ended up winning the game 38-28. It was BYU's first loss since getting hammered by Utah on Sept. 17.

Since taking over for Jake Heaps in a comeback win over Utah State the following week, Nelson has thrown for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns with an efficiency rating well above 160. Before Friday, he'd thrown for at least three scores in three consecutive starts.

He might not have gotten the win this time, but we definitely appreciate his enthusiasm.
