Not every coach has commented publicly on where they come down on the proposed rule that would force offenses to wait 10 seconds before snapping the ball to allow defenses to make substitutions, but Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez made his feelings known on Twitter over the weekend.

The proponents of the substitution rule have claimed their overall goal is player safety even though there have been no examples of increased injuries due to up-tempo offenses. And Rodriguez happens to be a proponent of the up-tempo style, so there was little doubt he wasn't going to be in favor of a rule change.

While Rodriguez hasn’t commented publicly about the proposal, I think this tweet gives us an idea of where he stands.

Well played, RichRod.
