Six Florida players will miss Saturday's game against Toledo thanks to suspensions, including cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy.
Both the Gainesville Sun and the Palm Beach Post have reported Purifoy and wide receiver Latroy Pittman are suspended because they failed drug tests. The other players are middle linebacker Antonio Morrison, defensive tackle Darious Cummings, defensive tackle Jay-nard Bostwick and offensive lineman Quinteze Williams.
Morrison, you may remember, was arrested for barking at a police dog. That was his second arrest this summer. In the first, he shouted "I am Antonio."
Purifoy is regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the nation. Will the suspensions impact the Gators? Toledo is one of the favorites in the MAC, and last season Florida struggled at home to Louisiana before winning by seven. Is this now a possible upset?
