Report: Brett Hundley is coming back for redshirt junior season

UCLA's biggest gain for 2014 may be a player that's still currently on its roster.

According to a tweet by ESPN's Adam Schefter, quarterback Brett Hundley will return to the school for his redshirt junior season.

Since he redshirted, Hundley would have been eligible to enter the draft this season. He was viewed as a potential first round pick given his combination of throwing and scrambling ability.

That's the second piece of good news for the Bruins this week as previously coach Jim Mora had withdrawn his name from consideration for the head coaching vacancy at Texas. That job went to Charlie Strong.

UCLA is primed to be a contender in the Pac-12 South next season with Hundley's return. he threw for 3,071 yards and ran for 748 this season with 36 total touchdowns.
