Harris was indefinitely suspended in early October after the school’s compliance department learned that he had provided Crimson Tide defensive back Ha Ha Clinton-Dix with a short-term loan of less than $500 during the summer. Alabama’s compliance department also learned that Harris has a connection to a representative of a sports agent, but it was determined that Clinton-Dix had no relationship with the agent or representative.
Clinton-Dix turned over bank statements showing that he repaid Harris, but the NCAA prohibits coaches from providing money to a student-athlete. That rule includes loans.
Clinton-Dix served a two-game suspension before being reinstated before the Arkansas game.
