Donta Evans, a three-star linebacker prospect from Lawrenceville, Ga., took a trip to one of his favorite schools, Auburn, over the weekend.

Evans was one of many recruits on hand for the Tigers’ “Big Cat” event on Saturday, but made sure to make the most of his time with the coaches.

Like recruits often do, Evans asked head coach Gus Malzahn to take a selfie. However, Evans pranked Malzahn, taking a 10-second video instead while Malzahn thought he was posing for a photo. Malzahn was extremely confused.

Malzahn wasn’t the only Tigers coach to get pranked by Evans. Defensive coordinator Will Muschamp and linebackers coach Lance Thompson were victims, too.

Muschamp was a bit confused too, but Thompson seemed familiar with the harmless prank.

Evans told AuburnSports.com that he had a great time on his visit and couldn't resist pranking the coaches.

"We all had a lot of fun," Evans said. "But I had to get them. I love those guys and we were having so much fun. It was just a great visit, an amazing day."

Evans said that Auburn is near the top of his list and that he plans to take a few more visits before making a decision. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Evans also has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, North Carolina, N.C. State, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest, among others.
