There’s nothing exciting about a media day.
A handful of popular players get pelted with questions on their respective podiums while the rest of the players sit and wait 90 minutes and perhaps get a token question here or there.
But, if you’ve never been to one, especially one on as big of a stage as the BCS National Championship, it’s kind of a fascinating journey.
So, we here at Dr. Saturday did our best to take and compile some photos from media day to give you an idea of everything that went on in Sun Life Stadium, including the sheer amount of media covering the game.
Notre Dame's logo being painted
Media members were told this many times
Alabama appears and media descend
Alabama players bake in the sun while media attempt to get to them
Notre Dame was later in the day, so some players got to sit under a tent
Media were asked to stay a comfortable distance from players
And some players were given a mic and asked to do the media's job
