Oregon WR Darren Carrington catches pass that deflected off defender's foot (GIF)

Oregon wide receiver Darren Carrington made one of the more unique catches of the season late in the first half against Colorado.

On a 3rd-and-5 play from the Colorado 39-yard line, Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota looked left toward Carrington, who was being covered by Colorado’s Kenneth Crawley.

Both players went up for the ball, but Crawley jumped too early. The ball then tipped off Carrington’s hands, but as Crawley fell to the ground, he inadvertently kicked the ball back into the air. Carrington was sitting on the ground at this point, and the ball landed gently in his lap for a 29-yard completion.

Three plays later, the Ducks added a 25-yard Matt Wogan field goal to go into halftime with a 30-3 lead and went on to win 44-10.

Carrington, a 6-foot-2, 191-pound redshirt freshman from San Diego, now has 22 catches for 355 yards and a score this season for 10-1 Ducks.
