Orange Bowl pokes fun at West Virginia’s 14 points in the Pinstripe Bowl
A year ago, the Orange Bowl hosted one of the most lopsided BCS games in history as West Virginia shellacked Clemson 70-33.
So, on Saturday, the Orange Bowl Twitter feed decided to check up on the Mountaineers and see if they were able to work similar magic against Syracuse in the Pinstripe Bowl.
The Mountaineers were not.
Syracuse blasted the Mountaineers 38-14, which prompted the Orange Bowl to crack jokes.
See, after West Virginia’s big win last year, the university decided to put up billboards boasting about its 70 points.
Apparently, the state’s going to have to change its speed limit to 14 for awhile.
