Oklahoma had a really cool idea to let its fans choose a new school logo design at midfield for the Spring Game on April 12 at Memorial Stadium. Of the three designs, which also included the classic “OU” and an old school helmet, the fans chose the Oklahoma state outline for Saturday’s game.

To me, the state outline is the most attractive of the three choices and it looks great.

Fans were also allowed to choose from five different endzone designs. Fans chose design No. 2 with “OKLAHOMA” painted in red on top of a white background in one end zone and the opposite color pattern – “OKLAHOMA” in white on top of a red background – for the other endzone.

Both choices look fantastic, but unfortunately some fans won’t be able to experience the new look up close. According to the Tulsa World, Oklahoma students will be allowed on the field to interact with players following the game, but fans will not be allowed on the field for autographs due to safety concerns.

Oklahoma's autograph day for children will still take place in August as scheduled.
