**UPDATED** Fox Sports, which broadcast the game, reported that Lunt suffered a dislocated kneecap and will miss the next two to three weeks. Oklahoma State is off next week and then plays Texas, Kansas and Iowa State. ***

Wes Lunt's first season as Oklahoma State's starting quarterback could be in jeopardy.

The true freshman suffered an undisclosed knee injury during the first quarter against Louisiana-Lafayette. Cornerback Melvin White hit Lunt as he was scrambling backwards during the Cowboys' first offensive series. Lunt was face down on the turf clutching his knew for several minutes while trainers checked him out.

He was ultimately helped to the sideline where his knee was iced and wrapped. He left the field on crutches.

The severity of the injury is not yet known, but it definitely didn't look good and could be a huge blow to the Cowboys. Last week, Lunt set a Big 12 freshman record with 436 passing yards against Arizona.

J.W. Walsh replaced him.
