On the heels of Ohio State coach Urban Meyer saying he’s voted his Buckeyes No. 2 in the coaches poll every week, one player took his confidence in Ohio State one step further.
Ohio State WR Evan Spencer on Alabama and FSU: "I think we'd wipe the floor with both of them."
— Ryan Ginn (@RyanGinnBSB) November 11, 2013
Meet Evan Spencer, a junior with 36 career catches, who has now had his first official well-publicized foot-in-mouth moment.
Wipe the floor with Alabama and Florida State? Really? Wonder if the Buckeyes recent dominance over powerhouses Penn State (5-4) and Purdue (1-8) have emboldened Spencer? Or perhaps it was Ohio State getting by Iowa or Northwestern or Wisconsin that makes him so confident?
I don’t even think Alabama or Florida State would say that about Ohio State or even each other. You know, that whole respect your opponent thing.
Ah, these are moments when we wish the College Football Playoff were already in place.
