Even though North Carolina blew an opportunity for a upset over No. 10 Miami, it did manage to introduce the country to tight end Eric Ebron.
Those who follow the Tar Heels or the ACC already know Ebron as one of the conference’s premier tight ends, but in a primetime game against a ranked opponent, Ebron shined with nine catches for 205 yards and a score to break a UNC single-game record.
And it was fitting that he broke the record on the above one-handed catch, which was easily North Carolina’s offensive highlight of the night.
