Several signs paying tribute to Pasquale also were hung in Memorial Stadium by Nebraska fans well known for being among the most classy in the nation in terms of treatment of opposing teams.

Pasquale, a 20-year-old standout from San Clemente High School, died from multiple blunt force injuries suffered when he was hit by a car in the San Clemente area while home during the Bruins bye week.

Pasquale played in his first game for the Bruins two weeks ago and is being honored by his teammates who are wearing helmet decals with his jersey number 36 on them. Nebraska players also wore the No. 36 decal on their helmets.
