N.C. State’s Dave Doeren celebrates game week by showing off his guitar skills (Video)

If Dave Doeren’s first season at N.C. State doesn’t work out, he can always fall back on his music career.

The former Northern Illinois coach joined student Scotty McCreery and chancellor Randy Woodson for a rendition of “Wagon Wheel” during the campus' annual Packapalooza, an event welcoming students back to school.

McCreery, who won the 10th American Idol competition, and Woodson handled the vocals while Doeren strummed away on his guitar.

This isn't the first time Doeren and McCreery have jammed together. In fact, it’s getting to be something of a habit. The two performed for N.C. State students during College Basketball Gameday back in January. Doeren didn’t put his voice on display during that performance either. Maybe one day we'll get to hear those pipes.
