Mississippi State freshman tight end Artimas Samuel played in his first college game Thursday night against Kentucky with his name misspelled on his jersey as "Sameul."
Somebody with the Bulldogs' equipment staff apparently wasn't ready for Samuel to be a part of the active roster, burning his redshirt at the midway point of the season, and got in a hurry preparing his jersey.
Misspelling aside, Samuel, a product of Columbus, Ga., will always remember his first game, which included his first catch that went for 28 yards in the second half.
