Minnesota coach Jerry Kill surprised everyone when he showed up in the press box for last week’s win against Northwestern and even spoke to the team at halftime.
But it’s his postgame speech, which the football team released on its YouTube page Monday afternoon that will bring a tear to your eye.
Kill decided to take time away from the Gophers and focus on managing his epilepsy following a seizure on Oct. 5. He hasn’t been at practice and the 20-17 win, the team’s first conference win of the season, was the first game he had attended since his epileptic attack prior to the game against Michigan.
You can tell how much Kill loves his team and how proud he is. It was a special moment in the locker room after the game that ended with the team cheering “Coach Kill!” at the end of his speech.
