Mike Leach reportedly uses a $25,000 Apple Cup bonus to buy drinks for fans

Washington State's season, which has been filled with losses and controversy, got a lot better with an overtime win against Washington on Friday.

The upset victory to end Mike Leach's first season was also very good for Leach. He had a bonus in his contract that paid him $25,000 for winning the Apple Cup game against Washington.

But Leach apparently felt like spreading the wealth at Valhalla Bar and Grill in Pullman.

That's what makes Leach one of college football's great and sometimes controversial characters. We're not quite sure what happened with Marquess Wilson and his claims that the coaches abuse the players, and we don't condone it if Wilson's claims are true. But letting the fans drink up on his Apple Cup bonus - Leach might be the only coach in America who would celebrate that way.
