Michigan is scheduled to participate in 26 satellite camps

Jim Harbaugh will be logging a whole lot of miles on Michigan’s private plane during the month of June.

With the confirmation of a joint satellite camp with South Florida head coach Willie Taggart on June 4 in Tampa, Florida, Michigan now has 26 – yes, 26 – camps on its June schedule.

Harbaugh and Taggart have known each other for more than 20 years back to when Taggart played for Jack Harbaugh (Jim’s dad) at Western Kentucky, so the camp is a logical partnership.

Obviously some of these camps overlap one another, so it’s likely that the Wolverines staff will be spread across the country. For instance, on June 8, Michigan has confirmed its participation at camps in Mississippi, Ohio and New Jersey. Harbaugh has already agreed to serve as the commencement speaker for Paramus Catholic High School’s graduation ceremony on June 9, so it’s probably safe to assume he will be in the Garden State for Paramus’ camp the day before.

News of Michigan’s satellite camp appearances has been popping up left and right since the NCAA Division I Board of Directors rescinded the Division I Council’s decision to ban the camps on April 28.
