Michigan fan with cancer gets five-star recruit treatment at The Big House (Video)
ESPN teams up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation every year to make dreams come true for young people with life-threatening diseases. For 18-year-old Stephen Loszewski, his dream was to play football for Michigan, his family’s favorite school.
That dream was cut short when Loszewski was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011, his freshman year of high school. He could no longer play football, but thanks to the generosity of the Michigan program, Loszewski got the five-star recruit treatment on a trip to Ann Arbor last month.
He received a personal letter from Michigan head coach Brady Hoke and a knock at the door from St. Louis Rams tackle Jake Long – a two time All-American with the Wolverines. Long informed him he’d be taking an official recruiting visit where he’d get to meet the team and coaching staff and catch passes on the field at the Big House.

Loszewski has been in remission since his sophomore year of high school and hopes to one day attend Michigan as a student.
Kudos to Brady Hoke and his program for participating in a day that the Loszewski family will always remember.
