Get your fingerless mesh gloves ready, Oklahoma has released a rap anthem (VIDEO)

We've seen a lot of college football raps, remixes and anthems over the years, but I don't think we've ever seen one that was actually endorsed by the school it was promoting.

Until now!

May I present to you, the OU anthem, which was posted on the University of Oklahoma YouTube Page and claims to be the "OFFICIAL [in all caps like that] music video of the University of Oklahoma."

To that, of course, we say: Why OU? Why?

The song itself is not terrible, but OU is now linking itself with a dude who wears cut-off letterman jackets and Michael Jackson gloves. He's also slightly sagging skinny jeans. Is that really what you want your school to be known for, Oklahoma? Are these the types of fashion statements you're endorsing?

Was OU superfan Toby Keith not available to put this project together?

I do appreciate the fact that Bob Stoops is cursing his lot in life during his initial cameo in the video and seems to be agreeing to lunch after the shoot in the second.

But hey, at least OU now has a music video to play on its new television station.
