Marcus Mariota holds as the betting Heisman favorite through three games

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota is still at the top of the Heisman odds, but there are a couple of new faces right behind him.

According to the Bovada sportsbook, Mariota remains the Heisman favorite at odds of 11/2 through the first three weeks of the season. Georgia RB Todd Gurley is second at 7/1 while Texas A&M QB Kenny Hill is third at 15/2.

Florida State QB Jameis Winston is still fourth, but he's now tied with another QB. Notre Dame's Everett Golson has moved from 16/1 to tie Winston at 10/1. (Winston was previously 8/1.) Through the first three games of the year, Golson is 62-96 passing for 780 yards, seven touchdowns and no interceptions.He also has four rushing touchdowns.

BYU's dual-threat QB Taysom Hill started the season off the board and he's now tied for the ninth-highest favorite at 20/1. He's tied with Nebraska's Ameer Abdullah, the RB who had the miraculous run-after-catch for Nebraska to beat McNeese State.

The odds for champions of the first College Football Playoff are largely unchanged from last week. Florida State is the top favorite at 5/1 and the Noles are followed by Alabama, Oregon and Oklahoma. USC, which was 12/1 to win the national title after beating Stanford in week two is now listed at 40/1 and the 17th favorite.
